Improves the division budget plans, monitoring and tracking the overall division spending to ensure it is as per the approved budget and responsible for finding and recommending solutions for budget savings and efficient spending.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Responsible for ensuring that the budget is produced in a timely manner and controlled throughout the financial cycle includes; examining and analysing budgeting and accounting reports for maintaining expenditure controls.
2. Ensures, evaluates and tracking budget spending and develop mitigation plans in case of any overspends.
3. Assists in formulating, analysing, verifying and consolidating the draft of the budget proposals; in this respect conducting financial analysis and provides proposals to improve efficiency and reducing costs across the Division.
4. Adjusts and transfers budgets between departments and present yearly budget results to Director, Brand & Marketing Excellence.
5. Ensures that projects and accounts are managed cost-effectively to maintain adherence to the Divisionfinancial objectives in the short, medium, and long-term.6. Identifies variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period and forecast future budget needs based on the previous year outcomes.
7. Analyses financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures and cash management) to ensure all operations are within budget.
8. Ensures that all expenditures are recorded in line with financial rules and regulations of the Division and approved budget structure is applied in a correct and consistent manner.
9. Creates strategies to optimize our Division budgets and spending and design and implement effective budgeting policies and procedures.
Education
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or other related discipline is required.
Experience Required
Grade 11:
Five (5) years of related experience with Master’s, or seven (7) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including two (2) years in a senior/ supervisory capacity is required.
Grade 12:
Seven (7) years of related experience with Master’s, or nine (9) years with Bachelor’s Degree, including two (2) years of (Grade 11) experience is required.
